Blog Post: How to use Google

Most of the population in the world uses Google as a searcher in anything they want to know. They might result with more than 100,000,000,000 or more information that you won't be able to choose the one that you want or the correct one. Here you can know how to use Google "correctly". You only searches the pages of that site. For example- site:nytimes.com. You'll also search related words by using "~" this sign. For example- "~". Search for the exact thing that you want, just use ("") this sign. For example- "test scores". Remember to excludes "-" this term from the search. Lastly, use "..." sign to show the time range.

Sometimes you want to ask questions at Google, but you won't be able to find perfect answer if you just ask an questions like "what is what?" in the search box. First, search the file type. Remember to write "intitle:" so that Google will show results with that word in the "tittle" only. Lastly, use "*" this symbol to replace itself with common terms in your search.

If you want to search a definition of a word, for example you want to find the word "angry". Then you go Google search bar and type in "Define: angry" then Google will give you a definition of that word. If you to calculate, just go Google search bar again, by using basic functions of equation in math for example, (2*3)/5+44-1. You can even convert the units if you don't know it. For example, 54 pounds in kilograms. Then you'll get the answer.

There are many shortcuts for you to use when you're find something on page, and you could easily find it with these use of shortcuts. 1st, you can press "Command+F" when you're looking at any documents or web page, type in the world you're trying to find all instances of the word are highlighted for you. 2nd, Zoom In/Out. When some words in PDF file in Google is too small you can press "Command+/-" to zoom in and out. 3rd, select the address bar just press "command+L" then it'll be selected. 4th, Cycle windows and apps. Press "Command+~" for windows and press "Command+Tabs" for applications. Lastly, sometimes you need a picture of the thing you searched in Google, sometimes you cant even save the picture, so you could actually screen shot it by pressing " Command+Shift#/3 or 4$".

I think Google is very good and easy to use because, it has everything that we want in it. But because too many people is using it, so when you just search one word, there more will be more than 60000 or more information come out, some of them aren't the things that you want. So Google make an article for people to read and learn how to use Google properly. This is pretty nice :)
