My Favorite App for iPad: Pudding Camera App

Fish Eye Camera Type

Pudding Camera app is an app from Korea that has many good and nice looking effects. The effects are iPhone basic, Vintage Brown, Vintage Blue, Vignetting, Dazzle, Mono, Noir, and Vivid. These are the films in the pudding camera app. It has many camera type too for example, Basic which is 37mm|4:3, Snap 45mm|3:2, Panorama 37mm|1.85:1, Fantasy 37,50mm|1.1, Motion 2X 2|37mm| 4:3, Motion x4|37mm|1:3, and the last one which is kind of funny is called the fisheye 37mm|1:1. These are the things that they have in the pudding camera app.  This was the old version of Pudding app, now we can update it. It has new functions added! 1st, Vivid film with High contrast and high saturation added (Object, Landscape, optimized). 2nd, Image saving size increased to 1280px. 3rd, Exposure value saved (dial on left). Last one, Exposure value applied to photo while shooting. We can also see something improved there, 1st one, Faster photo saving time, Green dot on noir film is fixed, Faster photo viewing and login error fixed. This app was in Korean now it has English because seemed like most of the people that i knew (even though they're not Korean) they all have this pudding app. The brown film of this app is looking very nice and soft which most of the girls use it. Most of the people also like to use Motion x4 type of camera when they take, because it can take 4 picture at a time with nice effects in it which is very nice, no need to use Photoscape or some picture editor to make four pictures together. The Fisheye camera type is also fun to play with, your face will be looking like a fish, pretty fun. And another one which is the one that I think is good is the This app is nice and easy for people that like to take pictures. 

What I learn in LA class: Six comma commandments

In LA class on Monday, we learned six different kinds of comma commandments. I'll be giving the definition of the type of the sentence with an example after. The 1st one is to separate items in a series with the use of conjunction; Narit, Linda, and Aviral all did their homework. 2nd one is to set off introductory material; Noily, the squirrel ran across the roof of the house.  3rd one is - On both sides of intterupters (an interrupter is a phrase that adds information to the sentence but isn't necessary to complete th thought). 4th one is - Between two complete thoughts joined by a conjunction. 5th, with direct quotations; "If you don't have anything nice to say," Kaori said, "I'm going to kill you". Lastly, with everyday material like dates, addresses, numbers etc; People say the world will end in 2012.

These type of using comma splitting the sentences are very useful, and you can also see in everyday life or even when you're talking to your friend, your family etc. It is more logical, so Mr.Brian Byoce let us use Social studies, and Biology textbooks to find these kinds of sentences, and yes, we can see it everywhere in the textbook with these type of comma commandments. These are the sentences I found in Biology textbook. 1st one; Among those groups of organisms that survive today are plant like red, green and brown algae. 2nd one; Oparin, together with the American scientist Harold Urey, and other scientists also proposed that the early atmosphere lacked oxygen. 3rd, Humans with more than two copies of a chromosome, a condition called trisomy, will not develop properly.  4th, Both enable flight, but the structures of the two kinds of wings different. 5th, Mendel said, "Many people thought offsprings were a blend of the traits of their parents". Last one, In 1986, a new class of echinoderm was discovered strange disk-shaped little animals called sea daises.

What I learend in ICT class: Sketch Up

In ICT class, we use google sketch up and make our own restaurant. First of course, we need to make a rectangle by using the rectangle tool. Then, we need to use the offset tool and make another rectangle inside the first rectangle. Then, we pull it up that created a wall. Next, we create a door by using the tape tool, or you can just press "T" and you'll get the tape tool easily. For the door, we need to measure the size from top, and from the side. And for the window, we need to measure from the top, side, and the bottom. This room is just a room for eating, we have another room for toilets and kitchen. After that, we draw another rectangle next to the restaurant. Do the same thing to create a wall. But this time we have to delete the line between the restaurant so that it'll look like it's together, not separated. The kitchen and the toilet room just be partition into 5 places; 2 for toilets, 1 for a hallway, 1 for cashier, and the other one for waiter to get the food from kitchen to the eating room. First, let's talk about the toilet place first. For the toilet place we first have to find the midpoint of that space because it is a place for girls and boys' toilet, so they must be equal. Then we make a small hallway. Then, make one place for waiter to take the food from kitchen beside hallway, and one cashier beside the waiter place. Make a window with a small table for the cashier place, and the waiter place. Then, make doors for the toilets, and the wall beside the hallway. After this, we go back to the restaurant, which is the eating place. We make windows for that place. First, copy the window shape and bring it outside the house. Then, split into four pieces (because that's how the normal window looked like) and use offset tool to have another rectangle inside. Then double click to the other three pieces of window to make it like the first piece. We want to make sure if the size are all the same, so we measure the size to the middle line of the window, and delete the lines that need to be fix. Then, draw the lines back to make it the same size.

I think it is fun to know how to use sketch up so that we could make our own house when we need to design our own house. So it's pretty good to know how to use the techniques from sketch up.

Blog Post: 12 Ways to let you sleep if you have Insomnia

There are many problems of us sleeping late in the night. First, most of us sleep less than 8 hours per night which is not good. Second, As a result, you'll have risk of getting heart attacks, strokes, cancer and will shorten your lifespan. Third, If you did't sleep for 17-19 hours your brain activity is similar to someone with a blood alcohol level of 0.05. Lastly, You can't actually correct the problem by banking sleep on the weekend. So now,  there are ways for people that couldn't sleep at night. 1st, you have to go bed at the same time every night and wake up and same time every morning. 2nd, you have to sleep in one continuous block. 3rd, Make up for lost sleep as soon as possible. 4th, you have to avoid caffein after 2:00 p.m. 5th, Avoid alcohol three hours before bed. 6th, Exercise between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. 7th, keep your bed room cool, if your bed room is hot, then you'll feel like waking up more. 8th, Dim the lights, if its too bright, then you wont get into sleep. 9th, Eject electronics, if you sleep with mp4 on, you might feel like singing or enjoying your music, and you might forgot to sleep. 10th, Read for pleasure. 11th, Protect your privacy. Last one, Wind down.

Even i couldn't sleep somtimes at night during holidays, I think it is because i woke up late and so i will sleep late. If i wake up earlier then i might sleep early too in the night time. But now, there are steps for me when i couldn't get into sleep! That really helps! :D

What i'll do during the Holidays/school days

When there's nothing for me to do during the school days, I might just go to Facebook, and check my friends' new statuses, pictures and things that they shared or just chit chat there. But for the days that i could sleep late in the night and wake up late also the next day in the morning or afternoon, i would just play piano, learn more songs, search some new songs so that I could add into my mp4. Mostly I'll spend my time in front of the computer, but not my sister. She always force me to do something else like exercise, make some food our self, play video games, or watch movie together. I will play video games sometimes. But the best best best~ thing to do is to SLEEP till afternoon! It's the only thing that we can do, because once the school had start, we can not sleep late or enjoy ours elf anymore. So it is better to do whatever you like to do during the holidays until whenever you want :D It is also not that good to sleep late, but before 12 will be okay. So that's basically what i'll do when I've nothing to do during the School days and holidays.

What I learn in LA class: Clauses

We're learning "Clauses" in LA class. Clause, its a group of words that included a verb and a subject. There are two kinds of clauses, first one is called the Independent Clause, it a sentence that can stand alone as a complete sentence or complete thought. The other one would be the opposite which is called the Dependent Clause, it a sentence that can not stand alone as a complete sentence or complete thought. There are 4 kinds of sentences that contains independent clause and dependent clause. First one would be the Simple Sentence. In that sentence, it contains one Independence clause and no dependent clause. Second one is the Complex sentence. It contains one independent clause and at least one Dependent clause. Third one is, Compound Sentence, It contain two or more Independence clauses and no subordinate clauses. The last one will be kind of complicated which is called the Compound Complex sentence. It contains two or more Independent clause and at least one dependent clauses. 

It is good to know these structure of sentences. Maybe it won't make any sense if you mix simple sentence with compound sentence, and that is when you had the wrong grammar, or the grammar mistake. It is better to know these structures so that we can write sentences properly. Most of the times, if you have any grammar mistakes, that will pull down your scores for example, an essay. So it's better to know these all kind of sentence structure. 

What I learn in ICT class: Review all things over [Photoshop+Illustrator+inDesign]

In ICT class, we did a review of everything we had learn so far which is how to use Photoshop, illustrator and inDesign. First again we created a text box and write " Wells Admission Procedure ". Then we find a picture of wells school Logo, but the logo is too big, so we have re-size it. To re-size the logo, we have to make the picture fit to its frame too. After that, I created another layer for the rectangle box filled with the color that matches the school logo. Instead of wasting your time finding the exact same color, just use eyedropper tool to get the exact same color. After we had created the text boxes, the filled colored rectangles with 2 layers, we can start making the texts into compounds so that it will be looking more fancy and stylish. 

It is better to know all of these techniques because it will come out in our test/quizzes for ICT. Also, it would be easier for us to make our own posters in the future. Just like the one we did, wells school admission procedure, we can make it as a formal poster too!
