Apple's senior vice president of iOS promised to people that, it'll bring their tablets 200 new features including ighter Facebook and upgrade Siri voice assistant, you can even have Siri in iPad, and also have the ability to to make FaceTime calls with cellular network. The problem is, is the device that you're using ready for iOS6? To make sure that, there are steps to guide you for making sure that your device is ready for iOS6. First one which is the Editor's note, iOS 6 is required for any devices that is eligible such as fourth gen iPod Touch, iPhone 3G, iPhone4, iPhone4S, iPad 2 and the newest iPad. Second step is Thin out your apps, which means you need to clean out your homescreen, in another word, you might want to delete some of the apps that you're not really using, and you dont have to be worried because you can download it anytmie you want when you really need to use it. Third step is Backing up is a two-step process, basically there are two step that you would like to do which is to storage & backup your stuff by just clicking "Storage and Backup", to do this you need to connect to Wi-Fi and a power source, then it'll do it for you automatically even thought you'd locked your screen. Next one is to backing up using iCloud. You first will get 5GB free for that, and to backup using iCloud you have to go setting, click iCloud then click backup and storage as you already did before with the first process. The last step which is Organized the apps you have left, so for you to make your iPhone more organized by grouping the apps that are similar together such as games, cameras, social, etc. After you had done all the steps then you're ready for iOS6!
-Clean our your Devices: Make sure that you clean out your devices before you start to upgrade to iOS6
-Follow the Steps: For you to clean our your devices, make sure that you follow the steps to clean our the things that you don't need not not unnecessary important app out from you homescreen and group the apps together so that your homescreen won't look so messy.
-Devices that are eligible: Make sure that you only do this with the devices that are eligible such as fourth-gen iPod Touch, iPhone 3G, iPhone4, iPhone4S, iPad 2 and the newest iPad.
For us to update iOS6 normally we just update it, but the author want us to follow the steps and clean out our devices before we update iOS which is good because, it will look more clean and neat, then it would be easier for us to see the result of the updated iOS.
These steps aren't unnecessary to do for updating our iOS because we just want to update our iOS to download the things that required iOS6, so if we clean out everything nice and neat we might forgot where the app used to be etc.
-I wonder why we need to backup our things in our devices for updating our iOS...
-I still dont know what is backup.
