Blog Post: Asian messaging app "Line" adds Facebook-like features

A Japan built an app with more than 50 million downloads! And now, it has "time-line" and "Home" . Timeline and home are basically what we can see in Facebook. Line users can update their statuses and comment on other user's profile page. We can see other people's posts in our home page. There's a notification icon that will pop up if someone reply your posts. Instead of "like" in the Facebook, they have "stickers" for you to choose to reply other people's posts. The stickers are the emotions that we can see in the line chat. Line is approaching to the world! They're not just a mobile messaging service but it had stepped to other areas such as games, camera editors and line cards (use for making cards). You can also use "free calls" in Line chats! This is the reason why People use Line more than WhatsApp. Line has effected the world (Asia & Japan).

Important concepts:
-Line has updated new stuff such as timeline, profile page and home page.
-Line is now famous in Asia and Japan.
-This app is created by Japanese People.

What did author do that makes me understand this topic: (Advantages)
The Author talked about the most common mobile messaging service in Asia, "Line". And this helps me get better understand in this topic because, I'm also one of the user of line. He talked about the newest thing that line had added into it. That is also the reason why I understand this topic.

What is the weakness: (Disadvantages)
The Author talked about Line becoming the best in Aisa/Japan. He said that, Line beats WhatsApp. But actually there's still some other people using WhatsApp and not Line.

Question/concern about this article:
I don't understand why does Line has to copy Facebook. Using Timeline, those notification button, and profile/home page. It is better to just be a normal mobile messaging App.
