What i'll do during the Holidays/school days

When there's nothing for me to do during the school days, I might just go to Facebook, and check my friends' new statuses, pictures and things that they shared or just chit chat there. But for the days that i could sleep late in the night and wake up late also the next day in the morning or afternoon, i would just play piano, learn more songs, search some new songs so that I could add into my mp4. Mostly I'll spend my time in front of the computer, but not my sister. She always force me to do something else like exercise, make some food our self, play video games, or watch movie together. I will play video games sometimes. But the best best best~ thing to do is to SLEEP till afternoon! It's the only thing that we can do, because once the school had start, we can not sleep late or enjoy ours elf anymore. So it is better to do whatever you like to do during the holidays until whenever you want :D It is also not that good to sleep late, but before 12 will be okay. So that's basically what i'll do when I've nothing to do during the School days and holidays.

What I learn in LA class: Clauses

We're learning "Clauses" in LA class. Clause, its a group of words that included a verb and a subject. There are two kinds of clauses, first one is called the Independent Clause, it a sentence that can stand alone as a complete sentence or complete thought. The other one would be the opposite which is called the Dependent Clause, it a sentence that can not stand alone as a complete sentence or complete thought. There are 4 kinds of sentences that contains independent clause and dependent clause. First one would be the Simple Sentence. In that sentence, it contains one Independence clause and no dependent clause. Second one is the Complex sentence. It contains one independent clause and at least one Dependent clause. Third one is, Compound Sentence, It contain two or more Independence clauses and no subordinate clauses. The last one will be kind of complicated which is called the Compound Complex sentence. It contains two or more Independent clause and at least one dependent clauses. 

It is good to know these structure of sentences. Maybe it won't make any sense if you mix simple sentence with compound sentence, and that is when you had the wrong grammar, or the grammar mistake. It is better to know these structures so that we can write sentences properly. Most of the times, if you have any grammar mistakes, that will pull down your scores for example, an essay. So it's better to know these all kind of sentence structure. 

What I learn in ICT class: Review all things over [Photoshop+Illustrator+inDesign]

In ICT class, we did a review of everything we had learn so far which is how to use Photoshop, illustrator and inDesign. First again we created a text box and write " Wells Admission Procedure ". Then we find a picture of wells school Logo, but the logo is too big, so we have re-size it. To re-size the logo, we have to make the picture fit to its frame too. After that, I created another layer for the rectangle box filled with the color that matches the school logo. Instead of wasting your time finding the exact same color, just use eyedropper tool to get the exact same color. After we had created the text boxes, the filled colored rectangles with 2 layers, we can start making the texts into compounds so that it will be looking more fancy and stylish. 

It is better to know all of these techniques because it will come out in our test/quizzes for ICT. Also, it would be easier for us to make our own posters in the future. Just like the one we did, wells school admission procedure, we can make it as a formal poster too! 

Blog Post: Turning your Facebook Timeline to a movie

Now Facebook has got the newest version which is Timeline that everybody knew already. But now, they have another one which is called: Timeline movie maker. You can create a movie yourself in Timeline. So, first you have to visit Timeline Movie maker in your computer by logging in your Facebook account. Then, you'll have to go the page and click "Make your movie". Remember to access that app for your account. After you created your movie, it'll be a little bit slow when they're making the movie. Lastly, ENJOY it ;) After you finished watching your own timeline movie, you could select many different soundtracks or change the pictures for your movie.

I think Facebook is turning more and more better, for example the Timeline. The timeline you can put cover page photo, that will makes your page look more nice and also, this timeline can let you check the old posts and things by clicking the dates at the right side of your profile page. Now, another new thing came up, which is timeline movie maker to make your own movie and upload it into Facebook and share with your friends, isn't that cool?

My favorite Series: Fen ai fen ai ni

The handsome guys in "JEALOUS" that is also one of the reason why  her dad's factory is now not famous anymore.

In Taiwan, there's a new series that just start showing in the TV 3 weeks ago. It is call " Fen ai fen ai ni". It's about a rich girl named: Xia le di, her dad owns a factory making make ups called " Miss Beauty". She's very fat, but because she's rich, and her dad give everything that she wants, so she became really rude and mean and treat people as her slave. But one time, when her boyfriend was getting marry, she suddenly stop him because he told her before that, he'll get marry with her, but it was all a lie. He then tell her that, because she treat people as her slave, maid. So he doesn't like him anymore. That makes Le di sad, there's a guy named: Chang Yu Jie, he told her that, if she wants to change everything, go ahead and change herself first. 1 year later, she came back from LA and became thin. She didn't know what happen to her dad's factory. Because there's a new one called "Jealous" very famous and good make ups there. So Miss Beauty is facing the problem, the dad then left her at Taiwan, and go to India. When she knew that, she wants to take revenge, so she go work in "Jealous" and try to see what they did to her dad that makes her dad can not work anymore.

This series is very funny, it's the newest now. It shows every Sunday in the TV at 9:00pm. Now, only show till episode 4. It only show once a week so, episode 5 will be coming up this week Sunday! :) Hope this episode she find out the problem of her dad! :)

What I learned in LA class: Write a proper business letter

What Im learning now in LA class is to know how to write a proper form of business letter for us in the future. First we need to write down our address at the top right corner of your paper and write the receiver's address at the top left. After that, we have to write the person's name and the person's job below their address. Then we start with Dear XXX. Then, we have to write what we wanna tell them in 3 different paragraphs. Lastly, we'll have to write out signature at the bottom right with "Sincery". 

It is good to know how to write a proper letter because it is good for your future. If you don't know how to write a proper letter, then your boss might not want you in their company and you'll get no job. Also, if you write a messy, not formal/proper letter, the reader might not want to read your letter too. So it is important to know how to write a business/proper letter. 

What I learn in ICT class: Cyber bullying Poster

Inn ICT class now, we’re doing cyber bullying poster with inDesign and edit the pictures in Photoshop.  First, we create an A4 size page in inDesign. Then we’ll be going to edmodo to see some samples of the posters that mr.Pete had gave us and so we can use the sample and make a similar one. There are the one with very nice color match which is black, white and bloody red etc. There are many different styles to choose. After that, we have to go search picture about it. For me, I went to Google image and search a sample poster there with slogan in it. After we found the sample of poster and the slogan, we’ll be applying them into inDesign example, make a text box so that we can insert our slogan in it. We can also use the technique that we learned before in ICT class which is to crop the background of a picture that we don’t want in Photoshop! That’s what we learning at the moment.

There are many good posters about cyber bullying with awesome matching color text and pictures, or some stylish fonts put together. We can also find a picture and make it as a shape that we can re-size it by using illustrator, isn't that cool!? I even saw one of my classmate did a really good one. She crop a picture of a hand squeezing something, and then put a stick man between the fingers, that's stylish and also fit the topic, no cyber bullying. 

Blog Post: Computer Programs is Smarter than human

The program was developed by the Philosophy, Linguistics, and Theory of Science at one University called the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. The program id design to supplement its pattern with human psychological traits. The researchers had explained that they're trying to make programs which can discover same type of pattern that human see. Program is not like answering the option of multiple choice in exam, instead, is the psychological model of patterns and amount of logic to deduce the solutions. That will reduces the programs performance on mathematical queries. People say that, Our program are beating the conventional math programs because we not only have mathematics, we combined mathematics and psychology. So our method can used to identify patterns in anything included the mathematical data or psychology data. That can be better empathize with our new robot overlords.

I think that, we are actually smarter than the computer programs because, the computer programs are made by human, so basically, the human are smart enough to make a program without a complicated forms of patterns for those who don't know how to make programs to use them. Long time ago, the programs are hard to use because you need to order them by adding some weird numbers and alphabets or formulas, but nowadays, human are smart enough to make it more simple so that we could use them easily.

My Favorite brand for MP4: Samsung Q3

My favorite brand for Mp4 is Samsung. Samsung's mp3 or mp4 are improving. The appearance is getting better and better and it's not that expensive like others. Compare it to example, Sony Errison, it's way better. The appearance of Sony's mp4 looks not as good as the newest mp4 of Samsung named Q3. 

And inside the Q3 that i have now, it's really good, it has something call "sound alive", you can choose to listen vocal more louder, or to listen instrumental and more to choose there. Also you can put pictures and videos. For videos, it's clear with good quality. And you can also put lyrics if you want to. Inside Q3, you can put document. So if you want to read something or remember something you can do it in computer, put it in notepad and then you can save it and put the things that you did in notepad to the "text" part of Q3. When you're listening music, you can just click the the bottom on the side and so you can read notes in the "texts" while you're listening music, for me, i always put lyrics there and sing with the music that I'm playing, or i can view some photos that i put in the Q3 while listening the music. For setting, i can set the time to turn off after either 30 min, 60min, or 90 min so that you can listen while you're sleeping and when you wake up in the morning, it won't show "low battery". Q3, is a really good mp4, it's appearance is good too! i like how it look and the quality of the sound!

What i learn in Social class: DownFall

When they had burnt Hitler and his Wife. Showing the Sign of Nazis.

In Social class, we are now learning about WWII. And we're learning at the end of WWII now which is "Downfall", when Hitler is losing the war. Mr.Randy showed us a video about him losing the war and what happened to him when he knew that he's losing the war when the Allies which are the Russians,Americans and the British are winning the war. Even Japan is trying to win the war but they just can't win the Allies by thoses kamikaze only when they're doing the final battle. (Kamikaze means the pilots that are going to fight against the Americans).

So in the video, we can see that, Hitler was very out of situation. He knew that he is losing the war but he was just losing touch of reality and in his own la la land. When all his soldiers know that they're losing, Hitler was just being sarcastic by saying that he has got a secret plan to win the Americans which is use the airforce and attack when they think they're going to win. Every one was confused of what he said, but they have to obey what the Fuhrer said. When the airforce and the forces respond to Hitler that they've got nothing left to fight Hitler was just angry and shouting at them. But lastly, when Berlin got surrended, Hitler and his 1 day wife suicide by taking poison and shot themselve on the head because they don't want to get capture by the Russians with either dead or alive body. So they tell the soldiers to burn their body after that. 

What i learn in ICT class: Cover Page of Facebook Timeline by using Photoshop

In ICT class, we learned how to use Photoshop and make our own cover page for Facebook timeline. We first need to know the size of the timeline cover page photo which is 851px wide and 315px height. We than make a new page for this. Then we go search for pictures of "valentine" Facebook cover page. Because that day was valentine's day. After we find ourself a valentine's day cover page photo, we put that into photoshop, just click window and place, so that we'll see 2 layers, one is the picture layer, one is background layer. After that, we drew a heart shape on anywhere we want. Again, after that go search a picture that we want it to be in the heart shape. Then, we drag the picture from the folder to the Photoshop and then re-size it and place it above the heart shape then clicked enter. After that, we'll see the heart layer and the picture layer. So we drag the picture layer to the heart layer, and it'll show only the picture that you put in the heart and like black/white blank color. We can hide the background so that we can see everything with our picture in the heart. We can re-size the picture, the heart by un-linking the link, and also both of them together by link them by together again. If you want to resize the picture, then click on the picture and hold ctrl+T then you can resize it, and if you wont to resize the heart, then click on the heart and do the same thing. If you want to do both at the same time, then link the link back and do the samething. After that, we can double click the layer of our heart+picture and so that we can put effects on it! 

This is very cool because we can make our own cover page by just using photoshop and know the size of it. So that we won't have to go internet and try to find the pictures that you want, so it is better to do yourself with the picture that you want to use with~ the correct size! Then it'll look even better than the cover page that people did and published in the internet. 

Blog Post: "AirBlue Sharing"app to share files over Bluetooth

There is a new app called "AirBlue". It can transfer files from iOS to via Bluetooth, but the options are still limited. When you have the full-featured, you'll see these sharing capibilities. 1st,  Zero Configuration. 2nd, Native Bluetooth pairing, don't have to re-pair your device when you're using iOS native Bluetooth. 3rd High speed Bluetooth transmission, up to 1.7MB/s. 3rd, It will shut down automatically when transmissions saved power.  4th, it transfer the files over Wifi connection, even videos! 5th, You have to send from your documents like photos, videos, musics, notes etc. 6th, It will automatically create a wifi hotspot when no WiFi is available. 7th, Import receieved files to contacts/photos and to applications suporrted by the open in function. 8th, they have notification sound  when you receive or send the file. and last one, it is compatible with Mac OS X, Windows XP/Vista/7, Linux, Nokia, Android, BlackBerry and other phone that has Bluetooth. This app cost $4.99.

It kind of cool because, you can transfer files easily by just have this app to any phone, not just iPhone. And it's also good to have this app because, when you're sending videos or pictures, it wont take really long time, it's like super speed. If there's no WiFi connection when you're transferring, it will automatically create a WiFi hotspot for you! So you don't have to worry when there's no internet connection when you want to send something to someone!

My favorite Japanese Cartoon: The borrower Arriety

The dwarf girl named Arriety, and the guy that help her family to escape from getting caught by the maid in his house.

Gong qi jun, he always have new cartoon once in every year. He is too old now so that his son is doing the rest of the drawing and stories now. But his cartoon is awesome, even my parents like it. One the i'll talk about today is called the "The Borrower Arriety". This story is talking about how the dwarfs try their best to life on the planet earth from generations to generations. Because if people see them, they might kill them so they try not to let other people sees them. There's a dwarf family, that "borrow" food and things that they need to use in daily life at human's places that makes a guy that just came from his house to village interesting and help them to live because they got caught by the maid in the house, so the little young boy try to help them to leave this place and be safe. It's a very good cartoon, you should try it :D

What i learn in Health class: Cyber bullying

In health class, we learned about cyber bullying. Most of the people die just because of cyber bullying. It may mean very much when you say something bad to someone. Today in health class, Mr.Paeng let us watch 2 videos of cyber bullying. One of the video is a girl. She look fine, but her friends insult her by telling her that her clothes look nice today, and when they walked pass her, they sent a sms to her that " you are ugly ". That made her feel very hurt, so then she suicide, sad isn't it? Just because of saying something bad about them, and bully them, not fun at all. But now, still have people bullying one another, mostly at school. We made some posters about cyber bullying in art class too. Mr.Paeng even gave us a handout to do which is about cyber bullying. What we learned in this class today is, NO MORE CYBER BULLYING, NOTHING GOOD WILL HAPPEN ON YOU EITHER ANYWAYS, WHAT'S THE POINT OF DOING THAT?

What i learn in ICT class: inDesign

"Inside of my restaurant menu book (Introduction part)"

In ICT class, we learned how to use inDesign. inDesign its a program that look a little bit like photoshop, but the logo is pink not blue :) I think inDesign its a good program for making magazines, or things related to books.  Last week, we use our own restaurant menu and the introduction about the restaurant to make a menu book for our restaurant. First, we learned how to set the page into half. After that, we add pages for it, because there will be more than 1 page for the restaurant menu example the covers, menu, introduction etc. Then, we add some design to the cover like text. We choose colors for text by choosing the colors from swatches and and we choose the color of text outline and the fill. Then after that, we have to make the restaurant tittle stylish looking, so we drag while pressing ctrl, and another same tittle will come out. We made the color of the fill and the outline black so that it will look like shadow. Then, we bring the original tittle text forward, so that the black(shadow) text will go back and look like a shadow! After making stylish texts, we find a picture for our restaurant cover page and edit it with colors and effects, that's basically what we did for our cover page. For inside, which has a paragraph of introduction and some pictures of the food. That's what we learned about making the restaurant menu book at the moment.

Blog Post: iPad made apple worl'ds largest PC maker

After the apple company add the new PC into their company which is called the iPad, the number of sells tookover the number of other famous brand like Dell and Lenovo. After iPad2 came out, it arrive right on the heels of HP's PC sales last year. Apple want to sell around 13million iPads and more than 5 million macs that might beat HP and became the world's largest PC maker. According to the graph we could see that, long time ago in 2008, the HP brand was ahead Apple and till now, about 2010, it's going up that might beat HP. Till now, 2011, its at the same point, the Apple want to beat them.

 

I think that, Apple might became the largest PC maker in the world soon because, nowadays, we can see people carrying mac or iPad around, even though is kind of expensive. But it's good to use example, iPad. It has self-camera and back camera with apps that can edit them easily and can just click share right away to anywhere like twitter or facebook. Most of the people use apple thing it is because its appearance look nice and the thing inside computer like programs is cool and nice.
