The Big Picture

1) What is the difference between machine language and human language?
-Machine language is the collection of binary digits which are the zeros and the ones that computer reads and interprets, and it could only be understood by computer, not human. For human, we do not only read zeros and ones, human consist to use letters, words and alphabets. Also, the zeros and ones doesn't really make sense, but for human, each word has its own specific meaning, but again for machine language, they're just numbers, no words.

2) Who was the first computer programmer, Explain.
-The first computer programmer was Ada Lovelace. She was the daughter of poet Lord Byron. She was born in 1815 in December. At that time, her mother actually had the ability and provided her good education about science and math; but probably is because she's getting education about science and math plus, her mom was a mathematician too! She work with Charles Babbage which is introduced by Mary Someville, a scientific author. Babbage, he was an English mathematician that had the idea of the computer that runs program. Babbage was working on mechanical and calculating machine for many years until he died in 1871, after that, Ada the continue his work, and she realized that, the computer can actually play music etc, basically she develop the computer machine to more useful! So the computer programming "Ada" that is used in aviation and military programs were actually named after her in 1980.

Blog Post: What could a Xbox tablet be?

Nowadays people are just creating tablets, is there going to be an Xbox surface tablet? As the Kinect was to the Wii, the Xbox tablet might be to the Wii U. Nintendo had once created the motion control technology into their gaming which afterward the Xbox has similar thing which we can say Kinect. Nintendo has a tablet game with dual screen functions. Is Xbox going to have similar thing for the next Xbox. Can it run Xbox Live Games, or will it require its own ecosystem of title? As we know that, in Xbox they can play live arcade game so for sure if they're making one, they need to include that. Apple actually found a vast library for iOS apps for game, but not Microsoft. Is Xbox going to rely on Windows or Xbox? Don't be like Sony and its Play Station, For Sony, they had made Xperia phones and tablets and also PlayStation mobile software and the PlayStation mobile software can only run the games that is for that devices others such as PlayStation 3, PS Vita or PS2/PSP which is very awkward. So, the Xbox tablet needs to be like an Xbox device! Don't be a Zune, for the design, it should be wisely try to connect surface and Xbox itself. Price, People had fear that the Xbox tablet would be expensive comparing to the mini iPad, it should had a reasonable price.

-Don't be like Sony: The author had strongly argue that "Do not" be like PlayStation mobile software. They can only play the games for PlayStation mobile software with this device not others like PSP, PS3 etc.
-Price: The price should be reasonable because nowadays most of the tablets are expensive.
-Ecosystem of Titles: Will the Xbox tablet going to have its own ecosystem of title? in another word, in the regular Xbox, it has live arcade games, so the author is saying that it should including that into the tablets too.

-It is good to have Xbox tablet! so that we don't have to bring our Xbox out and also we don't need to offer Xbox.
-It is bad also because it is tablet so it not as fun as the time when you hold the remote.

-Why is everybody making their device into tablets nowadays? -_-
-Could it connect with Xbox remote?

Blog Post: Skype and Messenger are coming together!

     skypemessengermerger

On November 6th, Skype team had provided information about their plans to replace Windows Live Messenger with Skype. In China, they had announced that they would still using Windows Live Messenger, but  for the users that want to use instant messaging will then have to use Skype such as Business instant messaging . Then in the late October, Skype said that they would like to replace Windows some day but first they need to provide the private public  timetable. As they're testing new Windows and Mac beta that allows users to access and sign in using Windows Live ID which allow the person to receive messages from the person that are also using Messenger, then in the month that Microsoft's acquisition of Skype was finished, they then move Skype to use the windows Messenger which allows storage of pictures, video, and other Skype content is now available on Windows. And for the users that moved from Messenger to Skype, they won't just be using Skype's instant messaging instead, they can also be using video calling, Skype's land line calling capability, screen sharing, video calling on mobile phones and with Facebook friends and group, calling. The Skype's team is actually convincing the users to leave Skype running for whole day and use it as their first choice for chatting.

-Windows and Skype coming together:  Skype had saying that they wanted to replace Windows someday but seems like they couldn't or some people are already used to using the Windows Live Messenger  they now are coming together instead.
- Skype is good when you want to use instant messaging: Skype is a lot easier to control and messaging  but even more better in calling which is the reason why people use it when they need to send instant message.
- Windows and Skype: Users they moved from Skype to Messenger can now use storage of pictures, videos and other Skype content is also available in Windows. And for the users that moved from Messenger to Skype they won't just be using Skype's instant messaging but hey can also use video calling, Skype's land line calling capability, screen sharing, video calling on mobile phones and with Facebook friends and group, calling. Basically we can log into Skype using Messenger account either.

-It is great for both of the programs coming together which make people a lot easier to use, they could just download one of them instead of downloading both.
-Also it is bad because people might messed up both the programs together, they might be curious like which one should they have in either their phone, PC, tablets, or laptop; basically it would be hard to choose which one to download and people might messed up two of them.

-Why would they want to cooperate and become together? Users might just download one of them instead  and the other program might have less download-der then?
-Is Skype going to take over Messenger?

Blog Post: 13 new languages for voice search in Google

As we know that, there's also a voice search in Google and also in iPhone. In fact, The feature of voice search in other Android devices is Siri-like competitor while ago. But instead of Siri speaking only few languages, Google has now added 13 new languages into the voice search bar. The new languages are included Basque, Bulgarian, Catalan, European, Portuguese  Finnish, Galvanic  Hungarian, Icelandic, Norwegian, Romanian, Serbian, Slovak, and Swedish. Just by adding these 13 languages, Google has now 46 languages in total which is better than the Siri in iPhone and also it has its own app which might replace the Siri. And of course the app only supports one language at the time, you can't speak both Chinese and English at the same time. All the new languages will be in the languages settings once it is updated. If you're the person that doesn't' really use Google voice search, here is a video for you to watch to get more understanding of Google voice search!

-Comparing of Google voice Search and Siri voice search iPhone: As what we know from the author, they are mostly comparing the Google voice search  with the Siri in the iPhone.
-Amount of Voice search in both Siri and Google: Like what the tittle said, Google voice search has added 13 new languages into it and it has the total of 46 languages! which is better so that people that doesn't speak English or other languages can use it, meanwhile the Siri has only few languages.
-App: Before we only had Siri in our iPhone so that people would use them, but because Google has more and more languages, it now has its own app which people might change from using Siri to Google one that has more languages available.

-For Google to have 13 new languages is very good because it would get more peoples' attention by having so many different languages.
-Also it would be easier for people to find the language that they want to use also because there are many of them.
-Because it has 13 new languages which beats the Siris and this also mean it is better than Siri!

-It has disadvantage also because if have too many languages you might speak something in your language real quick accidently, and it might not hear clearly and search with other language which you don't want it to happen.
-Also this app might not be easy for the producer to create it because it contained many different languages.
-Because it contained many languages, it then sometimes couldn't understand what you're trying to say.

-Is people still going to use Siri? because Google voice search seems more to get peoples' attention just by the number of languages.
-Can we speak quickly when we're using the Google voice search?
